Refer a Friend Terms

1. Overview

The Onsen Referral Program (“The Program”) allows active Onsen Founding Members to invite friends to experience Onsen and to earn rewards when those friends join our community. The Program is operated by Housed 529 Pty Ltd (ABN 53 690 545 718), trading as ‘Onsen’ (“Onsen”, “we” or “us”), 529 Kent Street, Sydney NSW 2000. By participating, you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility

  • The Referrer: Must be a current, active Onsen member, with no outstanding fees.
  • The Referral (The Friend): Must be 18 years or older and a new member who has never previously held an Onsen membership or account.

3. How to Earn the Reward

For the Referee to receive the Referral Day Pass, and for the Referrer to receive the Referrer reward, the following conditions must be met:

  1. The Referrer must validate their friend’s referral guest pass with an Onsen team member, or email concierge@onsenwellness.com.au and share their friend’s details to claim.
  2. The Referee must be registered in advance and their details linked to the Referrer’s Onsen account. The Referee may also mention the Referrer’s name upon joining.
  3. To earn the Referrer reward, the Referee must purchase an Onsen membership and pay the $99 Membership key. For the definition of the Membership Key, please refer to the standard Terms and Conditions of Onsen, available at: https://onsenwellness.com.au/membership-terms
  4. The Referee must remain a member past the 14-day Cooling-Off Period.
  5. The Referrer must remain an active Member, with no outstanding fees, at the time the reward is applied.

4. The Reward

  • Referral Day Pass (for the Referee): Once the referral guest pass is validated, the Referee may purchase one (1) Referral Day Pass at $50 (usual price $150). The Referral Day Pass is available once only per Referee, provides whole-day access to Onsen facilities on the booked date, and is subject to availability. Treatments and classes are not included. The Referee must complete all onboarding, the Health Check Form and check-in procedures, and comply with the Onsen Club Rules.
  • Referrer Reward: Once eligibility is confirmed, the Referrer will receive 50% off their next two (2) weeks of membership, applied to their next billing cycle.
  • Limit: There is no limit to the number of friends you can refer; however, rewards cannot be exchanged for cash and are non-transferable.
  • Credits: If multiple referees join, the Referrer’s rewards will be applied consecutively (e.g. 2 referees = 4 weeks at 50% off).

5. Privacy Policy

By submitting your friend’s details, you confirm you have the referee’s consent to share their details.

  • Onsen will contact the Referee and provide the option to opt out of any future communication. Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at: https://onsenwellness.com.au/privacy

6. Restrictions & Fair Play

Onsen reserves the right to void any rewards if we suspect fraudulent activity. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Creating multiple accounts for the same person.
  • Using “bot” services or spamming referral passes on public coupon sites.
  • Approaching other members or guests on Club premises to solicit referrals, in line with clause 8.9 of the Onsen Club Rules.
  • Any activity that violates the spirit of a “friend-to-friend” recommendation.

7. Termination and Changes

Onsen reserves the right to modify, pause, or end the Referral Program at any time. Any rewards already earned and “pending” at the time of termination will be honoured.

8. Acceptance

By participating in The Program, you understand and accept these Program Terms & Conditions. You acknowledge and agree that upon purchasing a Membership through this Promotion, you will be bound by the standard Terms and Conditions of Onsen, available at: https://onsenwellness.com.au/membership-terms
